I need to pay more for utilities because the power bill (roommate 's) costs more than the water bill (mine). That's only because I started to take a bath only twice a week to afford it because everything is going up. -_- Plus I have been paying for both of our Internet the entire time we've been here and she's using it. I let her buy toilet paper a couple months and now every time I ever bought her and her ex toilet paper got erased. The only reason I did that was a bill that I had. (Which was for health reasons.) I'm buying toilet paper again for myself btw. 

 

I really can't afford it here because of prices going up and EBT in the air. Subsidized housing would be great. Getting it is difficult but I'm trying.

 

Well, since the power bill runs her $125 and not taking a bath makes us $25-30 uneven I'll be coughing up what I can. (Which would be covered by her using the Internet but it's free for her or whatever because she doesn't 'need it' even if she uses it.

 

I need out of here. ;( I'm not trying to pull any fast ones with utilities. I'm just saving money by not using the utility. Not like she can't use water or leave every light in the house on all day. I turn them out and they go right back on. :/

subsidized housing is probably your best way out of this mess. Start now because it takes forever. My roommate had made it through the first list and, we thought, just needed to pass a background check before going to their place. WELLLLL after the background check, theyre on ANOTHER LIST. They've been so close to having their own place (which is desperately what they want) for months now. Last we checked they were number 6 on a list, over a month ago. Luckily Im happy to have them around, but I know theyre antsy to get their own place and to have that independence. also theyre in a wheelchair and i live on a second floor with no elevator which fucking sucks and i feel bad for them cuz yeah they deserve more independence than this.

Oh man. That's wheel chair thing for your friend is so awful. I'm seeing my social worker tomorrow to call some places to see if I can get on some lists. Hopefully something will work out for me and your friend.
